I play guitar and produce songs. This sheet helped me a lot to finish adding keys to a song a couple of days ago. It is handy to have one of these especially if you are a beginner or intermediate or if you are producing songs like a do.

Cheat Sheet for Piano Chords

I especially like the high level view from a piano keyboard perspective of the key and chord progressions. I'm a beginner guitar player and had trouble understanding the chord formations on the guitar neck. After looking at chords from a piano perspective, I had an aha moment realizing that chords are logical combinations of notes. I know that sounds elementary, but it helped me to begin learning where the notes are located on the neck of the guitar and understand why the chords on guitar are the way they are. This product was really eye opening and helpful for me. As far as the product itself goes, it is laminated and very sturdy, seems like it will last many years, good quality. The organization of the diagrams and chord explanations are well laid out and simple to understand and navigate. Very happy with this piano decoder to help me with my guitar journey.

Cheat Sheet for Piano Chords

Very sturdy. Very easy to read, almost feels waterproof bug I don't want to test that out just yet...lol. the size is great, and it looks very nice. Can't wait to play once we find a piano!

Cheat Sheet for Piano Chords

I have gotten multiple laminated Piano chord sheets and this is one of the best. This one from Noisy Clan is very well-made. The printing is very legible and the card stock is very sturdy; it feels like it is plastic, so it can take punishment. It consists of four pages and there's tons of information on it. The inside deals with the Circle of Fifths and Key & Chord Progressions. The outside deals with "decoding" piano chords and keys. It's great to have handy for many different piano scenarios.

Cheat Sheet for Piano Chords

this is an excellent reference. this is an excellent reference. It is also on heavy, coated material. I'm assuming paper, but very heavy. My personal caveat is that I would have liked to see the notes on a staff, as I read music. So in effect, I see the diagram of the keys, and my brain translates it into a staff. Bottom line: an excellent tool.

Cheat Sheet for Piano Chords

This Key Decoder sheet is beautifully printed on card stock that is nicely laminated with non-reflective coating which makes it both durable and easy on the eyes. It is absolutely packed with great reference material, including the circle of fifths, chord formulas, inversions, key and chord construction as well as a huge reference for triads and 7th chords. My students are going to love this thing. If you are serious about your music, then you really need to have this located in a prominent area of your rehearsal space.

Cheat Sheet for Piano Chords

Does what is says on the listing to be honest. Nice sturdy sheet for piano notes/ cheat sheet. Clear and easy to read text and pictures.

Cheat Sheet for Piano Chords

Music is a language that needs to be decoded. That's my profound observation as an adult beginner who is (painstakingly) learning piano. My teacher, who went to a Music Conservatory, is often referencing various keys, chord progressions, the circle of fifths, major/minor chords, diminished chords and a whole host of other unfamiliar terminology. This decoder sheet is PERFECT for those of us who are visual learners and need to SEE what this is about. Chords are everything in piano (sigh)

Cheat Sheet for Piano Chords

Noisy Clan piano decoder cheat sheet for guitarist. This is a chart for guitarist to understand where certain chords are on the piano keyboard. I’m just learning to read music and this is so invaluable. This is absolutely critical for writing music. But, also for figuring out compliments or transposing your guitar music to piano music. Why has no one thought of this before? It’s great. It’s printed on heavy card stock so it’s not flimsy. It isn’t laminated, so I might get around to doing that. But I don’t think it needs it right now. It’s very easy to understand, and very surprisingly comprehensive. There are some extra bits about the circle of fifths that most of you should know anyways, but that just shows how thorough these people are with creating this cheat sheet. It’s very easy to read and a very comfortable size to hold in your hand. The thick card stock allows it to stand up as you’re looking at it, which is great for guitars . On the piano, you would just put it on the music stand. This is very clever, and I am super stoked to have it.

Cheat Sheet for Piano Chords

Very useful. Nice presentation, sturdy paper that will withstand a great deal of use and abuse. A great way to broaden your musical knowledge beyond the basics. Makes a great gift.

Cheat Sheet for Piano Chords

I have used a similar cheat sheet for guitar for years. Even after you've mastered it, these little charts can still be handy to glance at.

Cheat Sheet for Piano Chords

So comprehensive! Gives great visual markers for understanding key and chord structure; as well as helping me to more easily identify chord inversions. Matte coated cardstock should last a while!

Highly recommended for its practical size, clarity, and effectiveness as a teaching aid.

Cheat Sheet for Piano Chords

I've been playing piano for just over a year and now at the stage where I like to just use lead sheets. However, my knowledge of chord fingerings is limited. I find this card very useful as I can leave it on my music stand and just refer to it as and when I need a reminder. On the back is the circle of fifths which is also useful as it includes the accidentals for various chords. Very handy for checking the key on sheet music. Overall, a very useful resource.

Cheat Sheet for Piano Chords

It is compact in size and a quick reference that you can leave on your piano or place inside a larger music book. It gives major and minor keys, key and chord progression, triads (major, minor, and diminished), and 7ths (major, minor, and dominant). I would have laid it out differently, but it isn't hard to figure out.

Cheat Sheet for Piano Chords

The NOISEY decoder is a great musical tool. I did not realize that the circle of the fifth was printed on the chart, In the ad it looked like an actual hard paper dial. I give 4-stars recommendation.

Cheat Sheet for Piano Chords

I am not a piano player so a lot of the information is lost on me but my kids have found it very useful. The sheet is printed on high quality card that opens flat to sit on a music stand but fits into a music book. It's listed as a cheat sheet and can be used to look up chords but also acts as a learning guide for how the chords are constructed and how some music theory they have been learning fits together. I think this is an invaluable resource for a keen piano player.

Cheat Sheet for Piano Chords

These chord cheat sheets are nicely made and printed, rather than being separate sheets, it's really like the cover of a book, giving four sides in all, and folding in the middle. The card in fairly thick and stiff so that it should not get easily creased and crumpled. The diagrams are very clear, and the whole thing is laid out in a straightforward way that makes it easy to find the chord you want, and it covers all keys, including sharps and flats. The limitation is that it does not go beyond triads or 7th chords (Major, Minor and Dominant 7ths), so if you are looking for more exotic chords such as 9ths or 11ths, you won't find those here. That's what I was hoping for, being someone who has a reasonable amateur knowledge of music theory, but without any formal training, and currently attempting to improve on a very basic level of ability on the piano (having played mainly guitar for many years). Similarly, it doesn't give any alternate fingerings, all the diagrams use only the simplest structure for the chords, with the root note at the bottom, followed by 3rd, 5th and 7th in sequence, whereas I was hoping to see useful inversions that can make chord changes easier, with minimum finger movement - however it does give you all the notes, so you have the information there if you want to find your own inversions.

Cheat Sheet for Piano Chords

Printed on good quality card, this piano cheat sheet gives useful information for a student. It helps me understand and find chords, and I can use it as a quick reference. It's also easy to slip into the case of the digital keyboard that I use for learning on. I recommend you get yourself a basic understanding of chord and music theory before using this sheet, otherwise you'll probably feel confused by it. The reasons I'm awarding four stars instead of five is that I find it quite busy, visually. There's a lot of information packet into a small space, and that can sometimes slow me down in finding what I need. There's also the question of price. This is certainly good quality, but twelve pounds for a two sided piece of cardboard with fold in the centra feels extravagant.

Cheat Sheet for Piano Chords

I am more of a classical pianist, but improvisation and chords is something I would like to get more into. This cheat sheet is a summary of all the main chords, on two sides of A3. There is minimal (if any) explanation of the chords and how to use them. I would have liked there to be some instructions in its use, or perhaps a link to some on-line resource. No doubt there are plenty of YouTube videos which explain such concepts, so all is not lost. It was well packed, and supported by a firm piece of carboard, so it arrived in perfect condition. The price is reasonable - you are paying for its knowledge, design & utility... It's not just a piece of printed cardboard !!

Cheat Sheet for Piano Chords

Excellent quality printed chord chart and reference but missing some useful variationsOpened up the inner pages of the card shows the circle of fifths with note patterns for major, minor and diminished chords. There's a chart to explain the chord formula for different root notes, triads and 7th chords, as well as keyboard chord note patterns for chord progressions through keys C to F. I have to admit even being a fairly competent player it took me a while to understand how the charts are organised - but it's a really great reference. It doesn't include inversions, augmented chords or things like 9ths and 6ths, but there is only so much you do on 4 sides. The print quality is excellent with solid blacks, plenty of contrast, conservative use of colour coding (just grey, blue and yellow) and sharp characters. Whilst I appreciate all this stuff is available online to view onscreen, sometimes good ole fashioned hardcopies are just quicker, easier and more effective. The quality of the product reflects the price, so definitely recommended.

Cheat Sheet for Piano Chords

Pros - clear print - good sized images - easy to read - some good basics here Cons - not all that clear on how to use it if you don't know - not particularly beginner without teacher friendly As someone who's played music for years and never learnt theory but can write songs. I tried learning music theory for piano to help my brain get it wrapped around the basics at least to help with the speed of song writing. I've got an okay understanding of the basics but it's not as good as it could be. So I though this might help me out a little. But compared to how I've been learning the basics, this feels lacking in how to read it correctly. What I mean by that is, I find it easier to learn and others other more simple methods. There's a lot here but it's not very good with directions or how to use it. As an accompaniment to other learning methods it's better but if you're a beginner without any knowledge, you're probably going to be looking at this sheet lost and wondering why you spent the money. It's a handy one sheet quick look tool but that's about it. What I mean by feels 'noisy', while trying to be a clever pun, there's just a lot without much clear direction. A lot of noise if you're brain is trying to take it all in and you don't know how to piece it together. There's better options out there but if you're looking to help solidify some of the basics and need it all on one sheet. And can read it.. This will be a good addition. But it does feel pricy for what it is..
