Product details

This Music Theory Circle of Fifths Wheel makes music theory something you can turn, see and use. The sturdy physical decoder is paired with a 36-page instructional booklet, giving musicians a screen-free way to explore chords, scales, intervals, key relationships and progressions.

Whether you are learning the basics, teaching a student, planning a song or changing key for a singer, the wheel turns a theory calculation into a clear visual step. It is designed for musicians across instruments, including guitar, piano, bass, ukulele and harmonica.

Why You'll Love It

  • Decode keys visually — Turn the wheel to reveal the chords and intervals connected to the key you choose.
  • Transpose without guesswork — Move to a new key and see its relationships immediately.
  • Find progression ideas — Use compatible chords as a practical starting point for songwriting and composition.
  • Learn away from a screen — The physical wheel and printed booklet work offline; optional video guides are available separately through a QR code.
  • Teach with something tangible — The visual format gives teachers and students a shared way to discuss scales, triads and intervals.
  • Carry theory with your instrument — The compact format fits in a gig bag pocket or piano bench.

How to Use It

1. Choose the key you are learning, playing or moving into.
2. Rotate the decoder until the key appears in the correct position.
3. Read the corresponding chords, scale relationships and intervals shown by the wheel.
4. Use the booklet for explanation, then apply the result to practice, teaching, songwriting or performance.

What You'll Learn / Explore

Build a working understanding of the circle of fifths, scales, intervals, relative relationships, triads, compatible chords and transposition. The booklet is focused on accessible foundations and practical use rather than college-level theory depth.

A Complete Learning Set

The decoder handles fast visual reference, while the booklet introduces the ideas behind the layout and shows how they connect to real musical situations.

Product details

This Guitar Circle of Fifths combines a hands-on decoder wheel with a supporting theory book made for guitarists. It helps you see how chords, keys, scales and progressions connect, giving abstract theory a clear place beside the fretboard.

Turn the wheel when you need chords that fit a key, a route to transpose a song, or a fresh progression for writing. The built-in folding stand keeps the wheel visible while you play, and the book explains scales, modes, chord construction and the theory behind the relationships.

Why You'll Love It

  • Find chords for a key — The wheel makes major and minor chord relationships easier to identify.
  • Write with more options — Explore familiar and less common progressions when a song needs a new direction.
  • Transpose visually — Turn to another key and compare the corresponding chord relationships.
  • Connect theory to guitar — The supporting book brings scales, modes and chord construction into a guitar-focused context.
  • Keep it in view — A folding stand lets the wheel sit upright during practice and lessons.
  • Use it from beginner to advanced — Start with keys and chords, then keep it as a quick reference for writing and key changes.

How to Use It

1. Choose the key or progression you want to work with.
2. Rotate the wheel until the key is aligned in the viewing area.
3. Read the connected major and minor chords, scales and key relationships.
4. Set the wheel on its stand, consult the book for context, and apply the idea to an electric or acoustic guitar.

What You'll Learn / Explore

Explore the circle of fifths, scales, modes, chord construction, key relationships, progressions and transposition. The set provides a strong practical foundation rather than an encyclopaedia of every theory topic.

A Complete Learning Set

The wheel makes relationships visible at a glance; the book gives those relationships a guitar-specific explanation you can return to as your playing develops.

Who It's For

- Beginner guitarists learning keys and chords
- Developing players filling gaps in theory
- Experienced players who want a quick reference
- Electric and acoustic guitarists
- Guitar teachers and students
- Songwriters planning progressions and key changes

Great For

Product details

This Ukulele Circle of Fifths pairs a compact visual wheel with a 78-page book written specifically for ukulele players. Together, they make chords, scales, key signatures and progressions easier to see and apply in standard G-C-E-A tuning.

Instead of sorting through a page full of theory, rotate the wheel to focus on the relationships that matter for the key you are exploring. Keep it beside your ukulele while you practise, then use the book to understand what the wheel is showing and why those musical connections work.

Why You'll Love It

  • Focus on the chosen key — The wheel mutes unrelated information so the useful chords and scale relationships are easier to follow.
  • Connect theory to your ukulele — The book explains the ideas in the context of standard G-C-E-A tuning for soprano, concert and tenor ukuleles.
  • Build progressions with purpose — See which chords belong together when practising, arranging or starting a song.
  • Transpose more clearly — Use the visible relationships between keys to move a song into a different key.
  • Keep the guide in view — The wheel's folding, snap-together stand supports hands-free reference on a table.
  • Learn at your level — It works as a guided introduction for beginners and a quick reference for more experienced players.

How to Use It

1. Choose the key, scale or chord relationship you want to explore.
2. Rotate the wheel until that key is aligned in the viewing area.
3. Read the relevant chords, scale notes and key-signature relationships shown on the wheel.
4. Use the 78-page book for the explanation, then apply the idea while practising, writing or transposing a song.

What You'll Learn / Explore

Explore how chords sit inside a key, how major and minor relationships connect, how scales and key signatures are organised, and how progressions can be moved from one key to another. The aim is not to memorise a wall of information; it is to build a practical picture of the theory behind the music you already play.

A Complete Learning Set

The wheel gives you an immediate visual answer; the book supplies the context that turns that answer into usable knowledge. This makes the set useful both at the music stand and during slower, focused study.

Who It's For

- Beginners who want a clear introduction to ukulele theory
- Intermediate players expanding their chord vocabulary
- Experienced players who want a quick progression and transposing reference
- Ukulele teachers and visual learners
- Songwriters working in standard G-C-E-A tuning

Great For

- Home practice
- Ukulele lessons
- Songwriting and arranging
- Transposing for a singer
- Keeping beside the instrument as a reference

Keep the relationships between chords, scales and keys within reach—and spend more time playing.

Product details

This Bass Circle of Fifths set turns music theory into a visual reference built around the way bassists practise, write and play. It combines a compact 6-inch wheel with a built-in stand and a 78-page bass book, helping 4-string and 5-string players connect chords, scales, keys and key signatures.

Use it to move from abstract theory to practical choices: build a bassline around a key, explore a progression, transpose an idea, or check relationships while composing and improvising. The colour-coded wheel keeps the information visible; the book explains how to put it to work.

Why You'll Love It

  • See musical relationships — The visual layout connects keys, scales, chords and key signatures in one compact reference.
  • Build stronger basslines — Use scale and progression relationships as a starting point for writing and improvising.
  • Work across common bass setups — The set supports 4-string and 5-string, electric and acoustic bass.
  • Move ideas into new keys — The circle helps organise transposing without stopping to rebuild the theory from scratch.
  • Practise hands-free — A built-in stand keeps the wheel upright for lessons, practice spaces and gigs.
  • Pair quick answers with explanation — The wheel and 78-page guide move naturally from reference to deeper study.

How to Use It

1. Choose the key or progression you are working with.
2. Turn the wheel to align that key and reveal its connected chords, scales and signatures.
3. Use the visual relationships to plan a bassline, progression or transposition.
4. Read the matching ideas in the bass book, then test them on your instrument.

What You'll Learn / Explore

Use the set to explore the circle of fifths and fourths, chord and scale relationships, key signatures, progressions and transposition. It can also help you organise theory for composition and improvisation, giving you a clearer route from the diagram to the fretboard.

A Complete Learning Set

This is a two-part bass learning set: a visual decoder for fast reference and a practical guide for understanding and applying what you see.

What the circle of fifths actually tells you

Most people meet the circle of fifths as a diagram to memorise. It is really three answers to three questions every musician runs into constantly.

Which key am I in?

Every key has a signature — how many sharps or flats it carries, and which notes they land on. The wheel shows you one key at a time instead of all twelve at once, so the answer is a position rather than a memory test.

Which chords belong together?

Chords that sit near each other on the circle belong to the same key. That is why a handful of changes turn up in so many songs — and why the ones that sound wrong usually sit on the far side of the wheel.

How do I move this to another key?

Note where the chords sit, turn the wheel to the new key, and read the chords in the same positions. Transposing becomes a rotation instead of a recalculation.

Four turns, not four years

  1. 1

Choose the key you are learning, playing or moving into.

  2. 2

Rotate the decoder until that key sits in the window.

  3. 3

Read the chords, scale notes and key relationships the wheel shows you.

  4. 4

Use the booklet for the explanation, then take the answer straight back to your instrument.

Every edition has a built-in stand, so the wheel stays upright and readable while both your hands are busy.

Questions people ask before buying

Is this suitable for beginners — and how far does it go?

It is built to introduce the core relationships: keys, scales, intervals, chord progressions and transposition. Treat it as a practical foundation and a refresher you keep coming back to, rather than a complete college-level theory course.

Can I use it with an instrument other than the one on the box?

The relationships themselves apply to any instrument. What changes is the context: the guitar, bass and ukulele editions have diagrams and a book written for that instrument, while the General / Piano edition covers the theory across instruments.

Does it actually help with songwriting?

Yes — it shows which chords belong to the same key, how major and minor relate, and gives you common progressions as a starting point when a song needs a new direction.

How does it help me transpose?

Note the chord numbers or positions in the original progression, rotate the wheel to the new key, then play the chords shown in those same positions. The structure of the progression survives the move.

Do I need internet access to use it?

No. The wheel and the printed booklet work entirely offline. Internet is only needed for the optional audio and video material behind the QR code.

What is the wheel made from?

Polypropylene — durable, light, and built to survive being carried around in a gig bag.

How long does delivery take?

UK 3–5 days, US 5–8 days, rest of the world 8–15 days. Orders ship within 24 hours.
